On Wednesday, April 22, Rockingham Community College hosted the 2026 Job Fair in the Robert Keys Gymnasium.
It was open not only to RCC students, but the surrounding community as well, making it an inclusive event for anyone seeking employment or career guidance. Attendees had the chance to meet face-to-face with employers, learn about job openings, and explore different career paths.
More than 70 employers were present, with a wide range of jobs including those in government, healthcare, manufacturing, retail and others.
"The City of Reidsville, Public Works Department have a Water/Wastewater Trainee Position open at this time" said Mourice Brothers, director of Reidsville Public Works. "Also, we will be posting very soon a Street Division position."
There were also positions available in numerous law enforcement agencies.
"We're hiring for Deputy Sheriff and Detention positions" said Master Corporal Tracy Nelson of the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office. "Our pay is phenomenal, our incentives are great, our insurance is stellar!"
The event is coordinated by RCC’s Career Development Services office, which offers one-on-one job readiness preparation such as resume writing, interview skills, and related job search guidance, in addition to classes and workshops providing opportunities for people to become more employable.
"Interested candidates are encouraged to apply online and to monitor the Rockingham Community College website for updated postings.” said Leah Brewer with the Office of Human Resources at Rockingham Community College.
This year's Job Fair was sponsored by Sheetz, Lowes Foods, Pepsi, NCWorks, and Canteen.
