NAIDOC WEEK STEM ACTIVITY

To explore the STEM aspects of Indigenous life, the class researched the types of dwellings built and used by the original owners of the land. With this knowledge they designed a shelter that was to be constructed using only traditional materials such as sticks, bark and twigs. Once completed they tested their shelter under a compressive load to find out how strong their shelter was while comparing the results of others in the class to discover the type of shelter that would be most effective.
