  • PhD in Mathematics/Computer Science, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Bucharest, Romania. Dissertation: Syntactic and Informational Aspects of Pattern Recognition. Advisor: Prof. Solomon Marcus, Member of the Romanian Academy. 

  • Master of Science in Mathematics/Computer Science, Department of Mathematics and Computer Science, University of Cluj-Napoca, Romania. In the Shanghai World Academic Ranking (2013), this department was in position 101-150.

  • German High School "Johannes Honterus", Brasov (Kronstadt), Romania. The school was built in 1541. The founding humanist Johannes Honterus (1498-1549) drafted the school's regulations (Constitutio Scholae Coronensis) in 1543, which are the oldest in Transylvania.  

Current Research Interests

Neural networks, deep learning, visual knowledge discovery, causal machine learning, large language models, generative AI, computational semiotics, concept drift, synthetic data generation, hyperparameter optimization,  quantum machine learning.
