As part of econometrics course, my role was to conduct lab sessions on Stata. In this course, you will be doing the following:
1) Learning to find unique identifiers.
2) Generating variables with 'gen' & 'egen' command.
3) Assigning variable and value labels.
4) Exporting regression and summary statistics.
5) Reading questionnaire and learning to find the variables in datasets.
6) Introduction to merging.
7) Introduction to reshaping.
8) Cleaning string variables.
9) Introduction to loops.
10) Introduction to data visualizations.Â
Alongside my colleague Rabia Khan, we offered a course in summer that targeted machine learning techniques and its use using various economics datasets. This course was focused to teach theoretical foundations followed by it's application in R programming language. We concluded this course with student presentation on Shiny apps.
This course will introduce you to probability and statistics that will enable you to build foundations for understanding and analyzing data. You will learn how to make use of, collect and analyze data to make inferences and conclusions about real world phenomena.
