Hello and thank you for your interest in John Rayworth Automotive Ltd. Formerly known as Rayworth Automotive Ltd.
I'm John, Owner, Tech and Body Man.
Started in High school were I majored in everything automotive.
1st eng rebuild was 1966 Chrysler's Slant SIX, oddly never ran since new . Cause was a connecting rod put in the wrong way and if you know the famous slant six you know the rods are offset!!
Note of interest it took 20 yrs and a lot of abuse before it actually ran again.
Not to toot my own horn but I got it running in mid 1983 ,
Instructors challenge for me was to set the engine up using ONLY SIGHT, SOUND AND SMELL. ( no scope ) after I was done and only then was it put on the scope.
( wanna know how I did ? ) well specs were spot on from timing to fuel mixtures.
why the challenge ?
Punishment for being a smart axx the year before I belittled the auto instructor for being an idiot !!!!!!
Auto Body was fun I really excelled here all the classmates were peeved as I was in the booth painting cars while most were still learning to braze.
I worked on nothing but classics , 1955 chvy Pickup, 1970s AMC GREMLIN, 1970S FORD GALAXY 500 learned how to do stripping on this one. just to name a few.
I turned out to be the top tech in high-school, students and teachers were all approaching me for advice or repair jobs.
Goal
To keep as many of these old classic's around as long as possible, while carrying the old school VALUES !
I provide a quality service everything is double checked and I pay attention to details like vac lines,
Customer ALWAYS comes before MONEY, its my belief quality brings quantity.
