Are these two different machines - electric and hybrid?
No. There is just one Raymo machine that can hold either a plug-in hybrid or a fully electric cartridge. You can have multiple cartridges of different type and change them as often as you like - it only takes a minute. You can have for example one hybrid and one electric cartridge. Or two fully electric cartridges or just a hybrid cartridge with a spare battery... it is your choice.
How long can I operate on a single charge?
The average power consumed by Raymo is roughly 1,5 kW if operated on normal terrain and while mowing a regularly maintained lawn. But this number can vary anywhere from 900 W to 2,5 kW depending mainly on the type and height of grass. So in average you can easily get about 4 hours of purely electric operation from the larger 120 Ah battery and 2 hours from the smaller 56 Ah battery, which is installed in the plug-in hybrid cartridge. But the POWERSWAP system gives you so many options ... you can have two or more fully battery cartridges and easily change them. Or you can have an electric cartridge as well as a plug-in hybrid one for maximum flexibility. Or perhaps just a hybrid cartridge with a spare battery. Whatever suits your purpose best.
How is Raymo different from other remote-controlled mowers?
First of all Raymo is an electric, zero-emission mower unlike any other commercial RC mower. It is radio controlled mainly for the purpose of reducing weight and maximizing the fully electric operating time. Such a concept is signigicantly more energy efficient than any other electric ride-on mower. Raymo is also the lowest commercial mower in the market allowing you to access such places that other mowers simply can't. And it is modular - you are free to choose your power source an in the future use other attachment. Raymo is designed mainly for intensive lanscaping and maintenance of regularly mowed areas rather than brushcutting, but its 4WD system give Raymo a superb climbing ability and unmatched stability on slopes.
What is the opeating cost of Raymo?
Very little indeed. The average power consumption of Raymo is about 1,5kW meaning it consumes 1,5 kWh of energy every hour. The average electricity price in Europe is about 0,20 EUR/kWh in the US about 0,12 USD/kWh so your total energy cost per hour will be about 30 EUR cents or 18 USD cents. Compare this to gasoline prices and the hourly fuel consumption of your standard mower of a comparable size. Plus consider there is almost no maintenance on an electric mower - no air filters, no oil to change, no belts to replace. Add all the soft values - no emissions, minimum noise, no vibration exposure. Raymo makes sense.
