I was born in Houston and grew up in Alief, Texas. Texas has always been home to me, and many of the experiences that shaped who I am happened there.
I attended Sam Houston State University, where I earned my Bachelor of Business Administration. My career eventually took me through accounting, controllership, procurement, financial systems consulting, and financial operations.
After spending most of my life in Texas, I moved to North Carolina in 2022. While North Carolina is home now, Texas is still an important part of my story and identity.
Outside of work, I'm a father of two sons, a young adult and a teenager who lives with me.
I'm also a huge fan of music. I've seen more than 50 different artists in concert, and there's something I enjoy about seeing an artist perform live that you simply can't get from a recording. As for the recordings, I have built over twenty playlists on Spotify.
I also love to travel. I've visited 48 of the 50 states, with Minnesota and Hawaii still on my list. Along the way, I've visited 19 different Major League ballparks and another 15 Minor League parks.
I'm an avid Houston Astros fan. I was a mini-season ticket holder from 2017 through 2019 and had the pleasure of attending four World Series games.
After moving to North Carolina, I continued following baseball by purchasing a mini-season package for the Astros' Minor League affiliate, the Fayetteville Woodpeckers, in 2024.
I enjoy Bible study and whitetail deer hunting, two interests that give me very different ways to slow down, get outside, and spend some time away from work.
Today, I'm looking for my next challenge in finance and accounting, particularly a role where I can streamline systems, make a genuine impact, and continue building my skills.
