Raymond Tran is a sports and conceptual art photographer based in Costa Mesa, California. He works primarily in black & white digital photography. His specialization in both fields help inform the concepts in each other. He is able to draw his experiences from being a male and former athlete to generate knowledge in his processes. Tran focuses on capturing emotions and unseen moments in sports and discussing masculinity in conceptual photography. He is currently attending the University of California, Irvine, majoring in Art for his undergrad. During his time at the university, he is a part of the athletics digital marketing internship, photographing the school's athletic teams. He is working with sports media companies such as MileSplit and The Big West Conference.
