Hammad is an Assistant Professor in Computer Science and Digital Technologies, University of East London (UEL), with over 17 years of experience in industry, academic research and teaching. Hammad has led and contributed to various international research projects in cooperation with many partners in EU, Japan, Malaysia and Middle East. Hammad has reviewed and published articles, book chapters and conference papers, and has been involved in many conference organisation committees. His research interests are Technology Enhanced Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Adaptive Systems, Software Engineering, Smart Cities, Business Process Management and Enterprise Architecture. Hammad is a member of UEL Intelligent Systems Research Group. In 2018, he obtained his PhD in Software Engineering from the University of the West of England. In 2010, he obtained MSc degree in Cognitive Computing from Goldsmiths University of London. Prior to UEL, Hammad worked for King's College London as a Senior Researcher/Analyst for Educational Solutions; and for the University of the West of England Computer Science Research Centre as a Research Assistant. In addition, he was a lecturer at IUG University Information Technology Faculty and Manager of e-Learning Centre, and web developer and team leader at Logicteca HiTech Ltd, Canada.
