NOV

This project is a collaboration between University of Wisconsin - Madison, Texas A&M, and Penn-State. We are working on developing a NOV manufacturing system, similar to Toyota Manufacturing System. As a part of our collaboration, we have worked on:

• Designing tool to determine the amount of finished products that can be made using On-hand inventory
• Determining optimal combination of products to be made for maximum reduction of On-hand inventory

We recently started a second project where we are working on standardizing the measurement of utilization for aftermarket segments of NOV across all the global facilities of NOV. The facilities are located in Houston, Brazil, Middle East, Norway, UK, Singapore, China, and South Africa.

News: We recently bagged the I5 Award for “implementing ways to improve their organizations with ideas learned from the previous year’s IISE conference” at the annual meeting of the Institute of Industrial and Systems Engineers in May 2017.
