The Ravens donned two different uniform combinations during their inaugural season: purple jerseys with black pants and white jerseys with black pants. Black helmets with the “flying B” shield logo were worn for all 16 games. Both jerseys featured a “Ravens” script centered below the collar and a logo of a Raven with its wings spread on each shoulder. The purple jersey featured white numerals with a gold outline, while the white jerseys featured purple numerals with a white and purple outline. The black pants featured a Ravens shield on the player’s front right hip with a thick white stripe running down the sides. Uniforms were produced by Russell Athletic.
The Ravens debuted white pants to be paired with their purple jerseys as their home look. The britches included the Ravens shield logo on the side of the pant, overlapping an updated two-color stripe that was purple in color with black trim. The road black pants were updated to match the updated white-pant template, including a two-color stripe that was purple with white trim. The font of the numerals on both the home and road jerseys were updated and each given a black drop shadow. The outline of the numerals on the white jerseys now featured a gold outline. Uniforms were produced by Starter.
Black pants were dropped, as the Ravens wore white pants for all 16 games of the season. The white jersey, white pants combo debuted in Week 2 on September 13 at NYJ (W, 24-10).
The Ravens removed the “flying B” helmet logo and shifted to the “flying Raven” logo that is still used today. Uniforms were produced by Nike.
The Ravens changed the shoulder logo on both their purple and white jerseys to an updated iteration of the “shield” logo that was previously found on their pant stripes. A “B” logo, akin to the one featured on the helmet Raven logo, was now present on top of the pant stripes. Baltimore donned a “Super Bowl XXXV” patch on the left chest of their white uniforms during their 34-7 victory over the New York Giants in Super Bowl 35 on January 28, 2001.
The Ravens debuted an all-black uniform on November 7, 2004 vs. CLE, defeating the Browns, 27-13. The new black jersey featured white numerals with a gold outline and purple drop shadow, shield shoulder logos, and Ravens script in white beneath a purple collar. The pants did not feature any stripes or piping; rather, only the “B” logo that was also present on the white pants. It was the Ravens’ third different uniform combination worn in 2004, marking the first time in team history for Baltimore to fashion more than two separate combos in the same season.
The Ravens’ 10th season in Baltimore was commemorated by an “X” patch worn on the left chest of their jerseys for all 16 games of the season. The X was silver in color, accented by a black shadow, and sat above a gold banner that read “1996-2005” and purple background with the Raven head logo perched on top. The Ravens wore the alternate black uniforms twice: September 11 vs. IND (L, 7-24) and December 19 vs. GB (W, 48-3).
The Ravens switched their primary cleat color from white to black.
For the first time since 1996, the Ravens wore black pants with white jerseys as their primary road combination. The white jersey, white pants combo did not appear. During their week 1 contest vs. Cincinnati, the Ravens sported a jersey patch honoring the late Gene Upshaw, the Hall of Fame guard that later served as the executive director of the NFL Players Association. The patch featured the letters “GU” in white centered in a black circle, with Upshaw’s uniform number “63” in smaller white font below. The Ravens later debuted a new uniform combination, matching their black jerseys with white pants for the first time in team history on December 7 vs. WSH (W, 24-10).
After a brief one-year hiatus, the Ravens returned white jerseys with white pants for two of their eight road games on November 16 at CLE (W, 16-0) and December 27 at PIT (L, 20-23). Baltimore also wore white-on-black for 5 road games, and purple-on-white for one away contest. Combined with their black-on-white combo that debuted in 2008, the Ravens donned as many as four different uniform combinations for the first time in team history.
For the first time since 1996, the Ravens paired purple jerseys with black pants, doing so during their Week 13 contest vs. PIT on December 5 (L, 10-13). Baltimore also wore its all-black look for the first time since 2007 in Week 15 vs. NO (W, 30-24). In all, the Ravens wore a team-high six different uniform combinations.
During their Week 1 game vs. PIT (W, 35-7) on September 11, 2011, the Ravens sported a stars-and-stripes-themed ribbon on their left chest, honoring the 10th anniversary of September 11, 2001. Baltimore wore six different uniform combinations for the second consecutive season, only wearing the same uniform combo in consecutive weeks twice (white-on-white Weeks 9-10, purple-on-white Weeks 13-14).
Nike took over manufacturing of all NFL uniforms, as minor tweaks were made to the Ravens’ uniform template, most notably to the uniform’s collar. Following the death of former team owner Art Modell on September 6, 2012, the Ravens wore a black circular patch with a white outline and the word “Art” in white text on their left chest beginning in Week 2 through the end of the season. During their Week 14 game at WSH on December 9 (L, 28-31 – OT), the Ravens wore a 50th anniversary Pro Football Hall of Fame patch on their right chest. The patch featured the PFHOF’s logo on a white background with gold outline and blue ribbon that read “Fifty Years”. Baltimore donned a “Super Bowl XLVII” patch on the right chest of their white uniforms during their 34-31 victory over the San Francisco Giants in Super Bowl 47 on February 3, 2013.
Nike’s collar design was changed to match the color of each of the Ravens jerseys.
To commemorate the team’s 20th season, the Ravens wore a “XX” patch on their left chest. The patch included “XX” in purple upon a silver background in a shield shape, mirroring that of the team’s shield logo. A gold ribbon that read “20 Seasons, 1996-2015” was situated below “XX”, while the Raven head adorned the top of the patch. In their Week 15 matchup vs. KC on December 20, Baltimore debuted gold pants, which featured a black strip and purple trim down the side, with the familiar “B” logo atop the stripe. The Ravens were defeated by the Chiefs, 34-14, and it marked the first and only time to date that gold pants have appeared. The Ravens wore a team-high seven different uniform combinations in 2015.
The Ravens unveiled an all-purple look as part of the NFL’s "Color Rush" series in 2016. Baltimore’s iteration of the Color Rush uniform featured gold numbers outlined in white with a black drop shadow and Ravens script in gold below the jersey’s collar, while the pants matched the jersey in color and featured a gold stripe and white piping down the side. The britches included the same B logo as the Ravens’ other pants. Baltimore debuted its color rush uniform in a Week 10 matchup vs. CLE on November 10, 2016 (W, 28-7).
The Ravens debuted purple-colored pants, independent of the pants featured in the team’s "Color Rush" uniform, on September 13, 2018 at CIN (L, 23-34). The pants included a white stripe down the side with black trim. Baltimore paired the new purple pants with white jerseys (9/13 at CIN, 10/14 at TEN, 12/9 at KC), purple jerseys (10/21 vs. NO), and black jerseys (12/30 vs. CLE), marking the first time in Ravens history for all three of those combos to appear. In all, Baltimore rolled out a team-high 10 different uniform combinations in 2018. The team did not wear the same combination in back-to-back weeks all season.
The Ravens wore white-on-purple at home for the first time in team history, doing so in their Week 2 game vs. ARI on September 15, 2019 (W, 23-17). Baltimore’s Color Rush jerseys appeared on the road for the first time on November 25 at LAR (W, 45-6).
The Ravens paired black jerseys with purple pants during their Week 5 game vs. IND on October 11, 2021 (W, 31-25 – OT) for just the second time in team history and first since the combo’s debut in the 2018 finale.
Baltimore wore purple jerseys with purple pants (non-Color Rush) on the road for the first time on September 22 at DAL (W, 28-25). The Ravens debuted a purple helmet during their Week 10 game vs. CIN on November 7, 2024, marking the first time for the team to don a lid with a color other than black in team history. The purple helmet was paired with the team's "Color Rush" uniforms, as the team coined the combo its "Purple Rising" uniform.
