Bean is quite a shy rat compared to some of the other rats but his confidence is growing everyday. His favourite food is rice bubbles. He is a very crazy hand wrestler, he has so many happy ticks and spazzes frequently, it is hilarious to watch. Hes very cute, currently he lives with Cookie (he is neutered). He is very happy living with her, although the bonding took a while. He is a super cool rat.

Cookie is very small but very chubby. She loves her food. Being up high in the sputnick is her favourite place to be, I feel like majority of the time I'm visiting she is either in her sputnick or at the cage door awaiting freedom. She has quite a bold personality to her and she is very playful too. Her and Bean always get a small bowl of dinner when we have it, she stashes it every time she gets it but doesn't hesitate to eat as much as she can first. She is one crazy rat.

In this part it shows all the rats that used to be here but sadly have crossed the rainbow bridge to ratty heaven. Writing these is always hard that is why they aren't long and detailed, sometimes it just hurts too much.

Opal was a very gentle, sweet rat. She was a fawn hood and she had the softest fur. She was being watched very closely as she had a mammary tumor that was growing, we were watching the quality of her life as it grew and frequently making sure she wasn't in any pain, we didn't end up getting her PTS as around the time we had planned she passed away peacefully drifting off to a forever sleep in my sisters arms. She was just over the age of 2.

Colour and Coat Type: Mink hood
Rascal was a very energetic and cheeky but loving rat. She passed away due to depression caused by being alone after her sister Opal died and we weren't quick enough to get her friend. Even though she was out of her cage all day everyday when possible it wasn't enough, she needed her sister. She was just over the age of 2.

Colour and Coat Type: Black berkshire
Vega was a very little silly rat, she was a black berkshire and she had the loveliest coat I have ever seen. She was never really a cuddlier till she got sick. She passed due to stomach cancer that spread to her lungs causing her a quick death. What made loosing her harder was she wasn't ready and tried to fight it. She was around 1 and a half years.

Lapis was a very loved wee boy. His death struck and hurt me a lot more then any of the others. He was such a cool, chilled out boy but could be bouncy and crazy when I needed a cheer up. The vet said he died due to old age - he was only about 2 and a half years old. He fought it for over 3 hours and in that entire time I was by his side, till he crossed over. I still miss him everyday.

Herbert was my heart rat, he was from the amazing Libby Rose Rattery. I was cuddling and patting him all day and he had been receiving tons of treats for the two weeks before his passing. He died from old age. I wasn’t sure of his exact age but he was just over or almost three years old. He was my chunky boy, he was super cuddly and super friendly. His favourite food was chocolate. He was the last of my original rats. He had an amazing temperament and he was such an awesome rat. I’ll miss him.

Colour and Coat Type: Buff berkshire
Shortbread loved sleeping and had slowed down a bit. Whenever I had her out she would climb out on to my shoulder for a cuddle. She was a very cuddly rat in her last year, the cuddliest I had ever had out of my females. She was a lovely girl to have around.

Oaty was one of my bigger boys, and also the leader of the pack. He was incredibly friendly and eager, loved to hand wrestle like most of the boys and loved to come out for play time. He was such a kissy boy! All he did was give kisses and tail wag and it was adorable!!! He also loved sleeping. His favourite food was potato chips, he would snatch that whenever he could. I loved having him on my head while I walked around the house. He was also a fantastic cuddler.
Colour and Coat Type: Buff berkshire
Polly was Shortbread's sister, they were best friends and so cute together. Polly had a half closed eye, she was born with it but it didn't affect her in anyway it was just permanently half closed. Polly was the more outgoing out of her and Shortbread, she forever wanted to escape the cage, her and Cookie were always the first out.. Polly was mum to 13 rat babies. Polly's favourite food was porridge, she scoffed it! She was a lovely little girl :D
Colour and Coat Type: Black berkshire
Jasper was one of my smaller boys. He had some cool markings too, he was a very cheeky little rat and loved to muck around and try play when I would get him out of the cage (for play time or cuddles might I add). He too gave really good cuddles, I could pat him forever and he would just snuggle down. Bonus was his fur was still soft and shiny like his brother Sprout. One of his favourite foods was cranberries.
Colour and Coat Type: Black hood
Sprout was one of the shy rats. He did however give pretty decent cuddles. I loved patting him because unlike his brothers his coat was still lovely, soft and shiny and he would snuggle down. His favourite treat was mashed potato, he loved to get his hands messy and play in it before he would eat it, then it was all in. I loved his cuddles.
