RC Beam Master (“the App”) is a reinforced concrete beam design and detailing application developed by Rasool Abdullah. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use the App.
1. Engineering and Project Data
RC Beam Master allows users to create and store engineering projects, beam data, design inputs, calculation results, reinforcement details, drawings, and related project information.
This information is stored locally on the user's device. RC Beam Master does not operate a developer-controlled cloud database for storing your engineering projects or beam designs.
Users may create backup files and choose where to store or share them. New RC Beam Master backup files can be protected using password-based encryption. The App does not receive or store the backup password.
2. Artificial Intelligence Features
RC Beam Master includes an optional AI Assistant powered by Google Gemini.
The AI feature uses a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) approach. Users who choose to use the AI Assistant provide their own Gemini API key.
When the AI Assistant is used, engineering information necessary to answer the user's request may be transmitted to Google's Gemini service for processing. RC Beam Master is designed to minimize the information sent to the AI service. Project names, engineer names, and beam tags are not intentionally included in Gemini prompts.
The AI Assistant is optional and is intended only to explain or interpret engineering results. Structural calculations and design decisions in RC Beam Master are performed by the App's local engineering calculation engine and do not depend on AI.
Use of Gemini is also subject to Google's applicable terms and privacy policies.
3. Advertising
The free version of RC Beam Master uses Google AdMob to display advertisements.
Google and its advertising partners may collect and process information such as device identifiers, advertising identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from network information, ad interactions, diagnostic information, and other data required to provide, measure, secure, and personalize advertising, subject to the user's consent choices and applicable law.
RC Beam Master uses Google's User Messaging Platform (UMP) where applicable to request and manage advertising consent.
Advertising data is processed by Google and its advertising partners according to their respective privacy policies.
4. Consent and Privacy Choices
Where required by applicable law, users may be presented with a consent message before advertising-related data is processed for purposes requiring consent.
Users in applicable regions can review or change their advertising privacy choices through the privacy options provided in the App.
5. Data Sharing
RC Beam Master does not sell users' engineering project data or beam design data.
Information may be transmitted to third-party services only when necessary for features selected or used by the user, including Google AdMob for advertising and Google Gemini when the optional AI Assistant is used.
6. Data Security
RC Beam Master uses reasonable technical measures to protect locally stored information. Encrypted backup functionality is available to help protect exported backup data.
No method of electronic storage or transmission can be guaranteed to be completely secure.
7. Data Retention and Deletion
Engineering projects and beam data stored locally remain on the user's device until they are deleted by the user, the App's data is cleared, or the App is removed, subject to the device operating system's behavior.
Users can delete saved projects and beams from within the App. Backup files created and stored outside the App must be managed or deleted by the user from their chosen storage location.
Data processed independently by third-party services is subject to those providers' respective retention policies.
8. Children's Privacy
RC Beam Master is a professional engineering application and is not directed to children.
9. Third-Party Services
RC Beam Master may use the following third-party services:
Google AdMob / Google Mobile Ads
Google User Messaging Platform (UMP)
Google Gemini API, when voluntarily enabled by the user
These services are governed by Google's applicable terms and privacy policies.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
This Privacy Policy may be updated when features, services, or legal requirements change. Any updated version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.
