RapidEdit is an Editor-only Unreal Engine plugin.
It adds a dockable utility window to speed up scene editing, lighting, camera work and performance tweaking.
Works only inside the editor (no runtime / in-game use)

1. Add the Plugin through the FAB Marketplace to your project

QUICK MENU
Spawn Stand-in
Spawns a stand-in actor at the viewport position and snaps it to the ground (if near collision).
Spawn Reference Spheres
Creates a standard set of lighting reference spheres in the scene.
Organize Outliner
Automatically sorts existing actors into folders to clean up the Outliner.
VISIBILITY
Hide in Game
Sets the selected actor(s) to Hidden in Game.
Hide in Viewport
Hides the selected actor(s) only in the viewport.
Show All
Unhides all actors in the scene:
Sets all actors to visible in the viewport
Disables Hidden in Game for all actors
SELECT SIMILAR
By Actor
Selects all actors that are similar to the currently selected actor type.
By Mesh
Finds all Static Mesh Actors using the same Static Mesh as the selected one and selects them.
By Material
Finds all actors using the same material(s) as the selected one and selects them.
POSTPROCESS VOLUME
Spawns a configured Post Process Volume with:
Priority set to 2
Unbound enabled
Lens Flares disabled
Auto Exposure set to Manual
On / Off Switch
Toggle to enable or disable the Post Process Volume
Red = Off, Green = On
High Quality Lumen (Checkbox)
Enables high quality Lumen settings in the viewport when checked.
LIGHTING
Spawns the chosen light type at the current viewport location & rotation.
Sky System
Creates a basic sky and lighting setup:
Directional Light
Exponential Height Fog
Sky Atmosphere
Sky Light
Volumetric Clouds
HDRI (Checkbox)
If enabled:
Deletes the Volumetric Clouds
Spawns an custom made HDRI Backdrop Sphere with its own Sky Light
BAKE STATIC MESH
Takes multiple selected actors and bakes them into an Instanced Static Mesh Blueprint
Choose between Instanced Static Mesh or Hierarchical Instanced Static Mesh (HISM).
ADD CINE CAMERA
Add Cine Camera
Spawns a Cine Camera Actor at the viewport location & rotation
Lets you set a custom name and suffix
Camera name can be saved for reuse
Pilot Camera
Pilots the selected camera directly from the tool.
Selected Camera Indicator
Displays which camera is currently selected.
Record Sequence
Creates a Level Sequence using the selected Cine Camera and prepares it for recording.
CAMERA FOCUS / SCREENSHOT
Screenshot Button
Takes a screenshot from the camera and sends it to the Storyboard system.
Select Camera
Lets you manually choose a camera from a list if none is selected.
Look At
Select an object in the scene
Press Look At
The selected camera rotates to look at that object
Focus
Sets the camera’s focus distance to the selected object.
Track Object (Checkbox)
The camera continuously tracks the currently selected object.
Autofocus (Checkbox)
Automatically updates the camera focus to the selected actor.
Debug Plane (Checkbox)
Shows a plane at the current focus distance
Offset (Slider)
Offset slider lets you shift the debug plane & focus distance

Each model sets the filmback / sensor size.
Select All Cameras (Checkbox)
When enabled, changes are applied to all selected cameras at once.
SPAWN MARKER
Add Marker
Spawns a position marker in the scene.
Select Marker (Dropdown)
Choose a marker from the list to jump to its location in the viewport.
Teleport Camera to Marker (Checkbox)
If enabled, the selected camera also moves to that marker position.

A text field to add custom notes per marker (shot info, ideas, etc.).
Save Camera Settings to Marker
Stores the current camera:

Focal length
These are linked to the selected marker.
Export Markers
Writes a text file in the plugin folder containing:

STORYBOARD / SCREENSHOT OVERVIEW
Displays screenshots created in the Camera Focus group
Lets you reload and open the folder where the images are stored

CONSOLE COMMANDS
Console Command Lines
Enter custom console commands that you use often.
Save Commands
Saves all current commands to a text file in the plugin folder.
Load Data
Loads commands from the saved text file and restores them into the UI.
Open File
Opens the text file so you can edit the commands manually.
Execute Buttons
Run the stored console commands directly from the plugin UI.
SET MAX FPS / SCREEN PERCENTAGE
Set Max FPS
Default: Unlimited
Use the slider to cap editor FPS (e.g. 60 FPS) to save resources.
Screen Percentage Slider
Adjusts the screen percentage for the viewport to improve performance or quality.
Anti-Aliasing Dropdown
Switch between different anti-aliasing methods to test what works best for your scene.
Note: Everything you set here is automatically saved and will be set when you open the Tab in the future again.
