• The meaning 

Recount text is text which tells about something happened in the past.

• Types of recount text

Personal recount         : menceritakan tentang pengalaman pribadi penulis.

Factual recount         : menyajikan yang benar-benar terjadi

Biografical  recount : menceritakan tentang kisah hidup seseorang

Imaginative recount         : menyajikan cerita imaginative berdasarkan kejadian yang terjadi

• Purpose                        

-          To share unique or unusual experience

-          To retell about something unforgettable

-          To give information about the incident

-          To make the readers learn something 

• Generic structure of recount text

Orientation                         : Pengenalan tentang siapa,dimana, kapan peristiwa tersebut terjadi.

 Events                                 : Rangkaian peristiwa yang ada dalam cerita

 Reorientation                  : Berisi kesan dari peristiwa yang dialami

• Language Features                 

Past time

Formula = Subjec+ V2+ Object

Example of action verbs = lived,borrowed,woke up

Kata penghubung (conjuction) seperti first, after that, before, finally

• Adverb of time                    

Yesterday ( Kemarin)

Last Night ( Tadi malam)

Last Morning ( Tadi pagi)
