I am an Assistant Prof. in the Department of English Language and Literature at Hong Kong Baptist University.

Prior to joining HKBU, I was a Postdoc Research Fellow working in the Speech, Language and Reading Lab at The University of Hong Kong. I completed my PhD training in the Aphasia Research Laboratory at Boston University.

One line of my research focuses on treatment-induced language recovery in bilingual adults with aphasia. I investigate effects of language treatment targeting lexical-retrieval deficits and factors impacting recovery outcomes. I also incorporate machine-learning approaches (e.g., SVM classification) to decode neural responses to language recovery in individuals with post-stroke aphasia.

Another line of my research examines the role of morphological awareness (MA) in bilingual children's reading using both behavioral and neural techniques.
