Areas of Interests:
Dr. Sahu’s primary research interest lies in lead-free relaxor ferroelectrics for high-performance energy storage applications. His work focuses on the design, synthesis, and structure–property correlations of eco-friendly piezoceramics, with particular emphasis on emergent structural phase transitions, temperature- and frequency-dependent dielectric behavior, impedance spectroscopy, and domain dynamics. He also investigates the electrocaloric effect in lead-free ferroelectric systems for solid-state cooling and energy-efficient thermal management.
In addition, he integrates artificial intelligence and data-driven approaches including machine learning–assisted materials screening, phase prediction, and property optimization to accelerate the discovery and optimization of next-generation lead-free ferroelectric and multifunctional materials.
