1. Introduction

Welcome to Rangoli Drawing! Your privacy is important to us, and we are committed to protecting your personal information. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your data when you use our app.

2. Information you provide directly

• We don't currently require an account. If you contact us by email, we receive your email address.

Information collected automatically

• Device & diagnostics: device model, operating system version, app version, language, region, anonymized device identifier (Android Advertising ID / Apple IDFA — only after you grant tracking consent on iOS), and crash reports.

• Usage analytics: in-app screen views and event names (e.g., when you start a drawing, save a rangoli, share a creation, view our subscription page, or earn a streak). We use this only to understand which features people use; we do not link it to your real-world identity.

• Subscription data: if you purchase a Basic or Pro subscription, our payment provider (RevenueCat) records the purchase event, the product purchased, your country, and an anonymized device identifier. We do not see your credit-card number — that stays with Apple / Google.

• Advertising: if you see an ad in the free version, the ad provider (InMobi) receives your Advertising ID and basic device info to serve relevant ads.

What we do not collect

• We do not collect your name, email, or phone number unless you provide it.

• We do not access your photo library, contacts, or location.

• Your saved rangoli drawings are stored only on your device. (Future Pro feature: you may opt into cloud backup, in which case your drawings will be stored on Firebase Cloud Storage tied to your sign-in. This is not active yet.)

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the collected information for the following purposes:

• To improve app performance and user experience.

• To provide customer support.

• To analyze technical issues and ensure app stability.

• Diagnostics → app stability + bug fixes (Firebase Crashlytics).

• Analytics → understanding feature usage (Firebase Analytics).

• Subscription data → entitlement check (RevenueCat) + tax / refund processing (Apple / Google).

• Advertising → ad serving + measurement (InMobi).

5. Data Storage and Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or disclosure. Data is stored securely, and access is restricted to authorized personnel only.
Your drawings, favorites, drafts, and streak data are stored locally on your device in an encrypted Hive database; they are not transmitted to our servers (until you opt into a future cloud-backup feature.

6. Children’s Privacy

Our app is designed for general audiences. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. If you believe your child has provided personal information, please contact us immediately.

7. Your Privacy Rights

You have the right to:

• Users in the European Union (GDPR): You have the right to access, correct, delete, or export your data, and to withdraw consent for analytics and advertising at any time. Email us to exercise these rights.

• Users in California (CCPA / CPRA): You have the right to know what we collect, request deletion, and opt out of any "sale" or "sharing" of personal information. We do not sell your data.

• Users in India (DPDP Act 2023): You have the right to access, correct, and erase your personal data, and to file a grievance. Contact us at the email below.

10. "Advertising and Tracking":
The free version of Rangoli Drawing displays ads via InMobi. InMobi may use your Advertising ID and basic device data to serve and measure ads. You can reset or limit your Advertising ID in your device settings: Android → Settings → Privacy → Ads; iOS → Settings → Privacy → Tracking. The Pro subscription removes all ads.

11. "Subscriptions and Billing":
Subscriptions are processed by Apple App Store or Google Play. They auto-renew until cancelled. Manage or cancel anytime in your store's subscription settings. Lifetime is a one-time purchase. We do not see or store your payment details.

12. "Notifications":
We send a daily 6 AM reminder notification by default. You can disable this in your device's notification settings. We may also send occasional push notifications about new rangoli content via Firebase Cloud Messaging.

13. "Data Retention" :
Diagnostic and analytics data is retained for up to 14 months by default (per Firebase). Subscription records are retained as long as required by tax law (typically 7 years).
