Rangeley Pond Hockey Festival is a weekend of pond hockey played on Haley Pond in Rangeley, Maine on the first or second weekend of February.
Team captains meet for a Captains' meeting on Friday night before play where rules will be reviewed and captains will be held accountable for agreeing to those rules for their team. At this same time, teams are invited to BYOB and meet in the warming tents on Haley Pond while catching up with each other.
Teams will engage in a full day of play on Saturday, ranging from 3-4 games throughout the day. After this, teams are invited for a gathering with Furbish Brewhouse pizza at Lakeside Theatre on Main Street. Beverages and merch will be for sale, the game results are posted and playoff schedules are shared.
Teams that make playoffs will play Sunday morning in quarter-finals, semi-finals, and championship games. These games will be followed by trophies and acknowledgements.
Teams are invited to bring their own tents and areas to rest while waiting between games. We will set up two large heated tents where you can hang out and relax between games.
