Born in 1999 in the state of California, Bridget was always drawn to horses. At the age of 12 she got her first horse, a young colt called Amaretto. Together they grew up in the pursuit of a finer way of riding. After over 16 years in California, the Rogers family decided they needed a change of scenes and moved up to the beautiful state of Colorado and purchased their own ranch. Bridget and her family agreed on naming their new home, Ranch of the Red Horse, as Amaretto was the reason for this domino affect of change in their lives.
After a couple years of living in Colorado, Bridget met a horseman called Tom Mowery. Tom is a horseman who truly has crafted perfection in his feel with horses, mules, and donkeys alike, although he would be too humble to say so himself. Tom Mowery changed Bridget's life with horses, and much more, and she continues to take any opportunity to get more knowledge from him along with other horsemen that share similar values. Bridget attributes everything of value she has learnt to his teachings.
Bridget brought in more horses to the ranch- from untouched colts to wild mustangs. All of which she took on to start herself to create happy and well mannered individuals. Each horse presented new sets of challenges and are why Bridget decided to work on changing how she did things with horses so she could get along with every one. It is has been, and still is, her goal to be able to bring out the best of each animal and she won't quit until she does. However Ranch of the Red Horse soon came to be a sanctuary for many other animals too, including; burros, pigs, goats, chickens, sheep, and surly the list is ever-expanding.
Bridget's main focus is to work with horses, mules, and donkeys, to create a true partnership based on feel and hopes to do justice with the foundations left from Tom Dorrance, Bill Dorrance, Ray Hunt, and of course Tom Mowery.
