You will have the opportunity to explore a beautiful region of Morocco, nestled in the heart of the Sahara Desert, at the relaxing pace of your horse: Dakhla and its stunning landscapes. During your horseback adventure, you will traverse deserted beaches bordered by the roaring Atlantic Ocean, flat-topped mountains, impressive cliffs, lovely dunes, and the renowned lagoon with its white sands and colorful kitesurfing sails, as well as the majestic desert stretching as far as the eye can see, transporting you to the other side of the world.
The beaches of Dakhla, lined by the ocean and excellent terrain for our horses, allow you to gallop freely during rides, especially since we are located near a beautiful, untouched beach. All our mounts are gentle Arabian-Barb stallions. You will be amazed by their strength, speed, responsiveness, balance, and exceptional abilities. Our horses, which we care for meticulously, adapt to all levels of riders: both experienced in horse-riding and beginners are welcome.
We organize rides that can last from one hour to an entire day, depending on your desires. Some rides can be scheduled at sunset to enjoy the soft golden colors of this special moment. We also offer the option for children to ride ponies so they can also enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the Ranch.
LESSONS
Adults & Children
Thanks to our personalized or very small group lessons, your children and you will be able to learn the basics of horseback riding, including grooming and saddling your horse/pony, directing your mount alone, making it move forward and stop. You will also learn to manage the different gaits of these equines: walk, trot, and gallop for the more experienced. Advanced horse dressage lessons can also be organized upon request, as the Ranch owner has been trained by a "cadre noir" from the Saumur school.
Our lessons take place in an outdoor arena, lasting one hour. Before your lesson, we invite you to prepare your mount to create a bond beforehand, and at the end of the arena work, we offer you a quick ride to ensure the relaxation of the horse or pony.
Regarding lessons for the youngest, everything is organized to make learning fun and enjoyable for your children, with slaloms, turns in the saddle, and more.
Packages are offered at Ranch des Dunes if you plan to take several lessons at a more advantageous rate during your stay, or if you live locally and wish to make horseback riding your new activity in Dakhla.
