About Me

I am  Ranamay, PhD student in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, IIT Kanpur. I did my Master's in Manufacturing Science and Engineering from IIT Guwahati and bachelor's in Mechanical Engineering from KIIT University, Bhubaneswar. I am working at the Microsystems Fabrication Laboratory under the guidance of Prof. Shantanu Bhattacharya.  My research work focuses on development of a low-cost electronic test card for screening the presence of Viral RNA in clinical samples impedimetrically. We would amplify the RNA through one step Reverse transcription loop-mediated isothermal amplification (RT- LAMP) process. The industrial application of the current project will be for the detection of Hepatitis C virus RNA (HCVRNA).
