About Me
Mr. Gaurav Rana is an Assistant Professor (Senior Scale) in the Department of Commerce at Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC), University of Delhi. He is a specialist in Strategic Management, Leadership Management, Brand Management, Management Applications, and Human Resource Management. His academic and professional journey integrates teaching, research, and policy-level engagement in management and tourism education.
Mr. Rana has contributed extensively as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) for the Management discipline at the National Testing Agency (NTA) and Tata Consultancy Services (TCS), shaping national-level assessment frameworks in business and management education.
Beyond academia, he serves as a Mentor at the G20 Women Entrepreneurship Platform (WEP), Director at the TourismEdu Federation, and Doctoral Scholar at the Indian Institute of Tourism and Travel Management (IITTM).
His academic excellence and leadership have been recognised through the prestigious Dewang Mehta National Education Award for Best Professor in Strategic Management Studies.
With over a decade of teaching and research experience, Mr. Rana has established himself as an emerging thought leader in management and higher education. His scholarly portfolio comprises one authored book and twenty peer-reviewed research papers published in reputed national and international journals. His research impact is reflected in an h-index of 6 and i10-index of 5 on Google Scholar, along with over 100,000 reads on ResearchGate. He ranks among the top 10% of authors globally on the Social Science Research Network (SSRN), underscoring his international research influence.
Mr. Rana’s intellectual contributions extend beyond publications to global academic engagements. He has been invited as a Resource Person and Keynote Speaker by various institutions across India and abroad, including ARPIT’s Swayam Portal (National Resource Centre), NITI Aayog, Kyung Hee University (Seoul, South Korea), Gedu School of Business (Bhutan), and Tribhuvan University (Kathmandu, Nepal). He has presented approximately thirty research papers at international conferences in India, Australia, Malaysia, Bhutan, and South Korea, earning Best Paper Awards in Malaysia and at the Asia-Euro Conference.
Committed to advancing interdisciplinary scholarship, Mr. Rana has pursued advanced training in Qualitative Research Methodology from the University of Amsterdam, International Leadership from SDA Bocconi (Italy), and Psychology from Yale University (USA). He has also organised and collaborated on major academic events, including an International Conference in partnership with NITI Aayog at the India International Centre (IIC), New Delhi, and Kyung Hee University, South Korea. His specialised lectures—such as on Interpretivism—have been featured in national academic initiatives supported by the Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India.
Mr. Rana continues to advance research and thought leadership in management, tourism, and education policy, focusing on the intersections of leadership, innovation, and strategic development. His work exemplifies the integration of academic excellence, international collaboration, and societal impact.
