I am studying the circumgalactic medium, combining observations and simulations.
Particularly I am interested in the connection between absorbers and their host galaxies, the small scale structure of absorbing circumgalactic gas, and the detectability of circumgalactic emission with future instruments.
Currently, I am a postdoc at the Leibniz Institute for Astrophysics in Potsdam (AIP) where I work on "mapping" the CGM in absorption using multiple sightlines.
Previously I was a postdoc at STScI studying small-scale CGM structure in high-resolution cosmological simulations.
During my PhD I characterized the host galaxies of DLAs and prepared mock observations of CGM emission from cosmological simulations for current and upcoming instruments, like FIREBall-2 and ELTl/HARMONI.
