First and foremost, I am a proud mother to a wonderful 26-year-old son who has been one of my greatest joys and inspirations in life. I am also a loving grandmother to a beautiful two-year-old granddaughter whose laughter and curiosity light up my days. Family means everything to me, and I cherish the special bond I share with each of them. Beyond these roles, I am a sister and an auntie, surrounded by connections that keep me grounded and grateful.
Though I was originally from Pinehouse Lake, La Ronge has always felt like my true home. I lived here 30 years ago, and even after moving away to Prince Albert in my 20s to raise my son, La Ronge has always held a special place in my heart. Coming back now feels like a return to where I truly belong—a community that shaped me and continues to feel like home. It’s here that I feel the strongest sense of connection, purpose, and belonging.
Life has been a journey of discovery and transformation for me. After spending many years in administrative work, I realized I wanted more than routine tasks and an office setting. Becoming an educator wasn’t something I envisioned initially, but it became a calling—a way to channel my creativity and passion into something meaningful and fulfilling. The transition from being an Administrative Assistant to pursuing teaching has been nothing short of empowering, allowing me to step into a role where I can inspire, guide, and nurture others.
Teaching excites me because it’s about giving love, guidance, and knowledge to students who need it. I find joy in the “aha moments” when something clicks for them, and it’s deeply rewarding to witness their growth and understanding.
I’m learning to embrace the tools and platforms available, eager to discover innovative ways to make lessons engaging and impactful. This journey represents not only a professional shift but a personal evolution—a chance to explore creativity, foster connections, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of students.
