This article was written in 2006 by a young student, Ms. Ramla Akhtar (who, now, calls herself "Rmala Aalam"). It is produced under Creative Common policy. Credits are given to the author. Akhtar migrated from Karachi to the mountains of northern Pakistan in 2013 and lived there during 7 years. In May 2019, she entered into a blatant religious and ethnic confrontation with the minority in the middle of which she lived. Then, 14 years after it was written, this article has become an important document for understanding the radical transformation of this unusual personality.

This presentation "Wake up on Social Media", released in 2008 by Ms Ramla Akhtar, under "NEXT by Ramla", is very interesting. It is not a contributing technology or the result of cutting edge research. It was written not so long time ago. However, it has already become an image from the past. It is a personal perspective of a 28-year-old woman professionaly educated, from a specific coutry, Pakistan, and from a specfic social backgroud. It tells a lot more about the author and her society segment than about technology. It can, also, be found in other parts of the world.

In 2008, Ramla Akhtar, better known as Rmala Aalam, a recent graduate from southern Pakistan, presented her experience in a public presentation "Wake Up on Social Media". She explained her strategy for providing services thru her consulting firm "NEXT> by Ramla". Twelve years later, Ms. Ramla Akhtar had the opportunity to implement her social media strategy during a crisis she created between her and a mountain minority on social media. It did not work. The congenital weaknesses of her theoretical model proved to be detterent. Meanwhile, despite rapidly changing technologies and methods, the outdated strategies have not been updated.

Unfortunately, implementing her theorical irrelevant model on a real case had a dramatic effect on her digital presence. Not only did she fail to achieve her goal, but she also caused irreparable damage to her, by wasting her intellectual and professional capital. Let's try to present some of the most important events related to this tragedy. Let's see what he can learn from this horrible set of mistakes.
