Ram Kumar

I am Ram Kumar, and I am pursuing my PhD in offshore structure at the Department of Ocean Engineering, Indian Institute of Technology Madras (IITM), under the supervision of Prof. Deepak Kumar. My primary research focuses on response analysis of jacket structure under random ocean wave conditions. I Joined the Ocean Engineering department of IITM as MTech in July 2020 and upgraded my Master's program to a PhD in Sep 2021. Before IITM, I completed a bachelor's degree at the Institute of Engineering & Technology (IET) in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh. Apart from academics, I also exhibited my interest in co-curricular and extracurricular activities. I coordinated Research Scholar Fest(RSD) 2021 and Event core 2022 ( Carrer Development Cell- Research) and am Currently CDC-R ( Carrer Development Cell- Research) Head, IIT Madras.

I received a certificate of appreciation from the respected Director of IIT Madras for my role as the head of the Career Development Cell Research. Our team worked diligently to improve opportunities and support for all research scholars.

I received a certificate from the Director of IIT Madras for leading the All Indian Research Scholar Summit 2024. Our team successfully organized nine competitions and seven workshops as part of this summit.
