RANK STRUCTURE
Please note any requirements can be skipped in this early stages of RAMC!
JUNIOR ENLISTED
(OR-1) PRIVATE - Private is the rank given to all new recruits who have not yet completed BMT and Infantry School.

(OR-2) PRIVATE FIRST CLASS - Private First Class is given to Privates after they have completed BMT and their Infantry School or support role training. Support role training or recon selections is not included in attaining this rank.

(OR-3) LANCE CORPORAL - Lance Corporal is a transitional rank given to those who have served at least two weeks in their duty station or have completed a secondary role of training after infantry, whether that be passing recon selections or serving in a support role such as Military Police.

NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS
(OR-4) CORPORAL - Corporal is the first NCO rank, and is given to Lance Corporals aspiring to be NCOs after the completion of Leadership School. Corporal will usually lead a team of up to 4 people, or serve a specialized role. Corporals are assigned a more senior NCO as a mentor (usually there Section Leader) until they are able to advance.

(OR-5) SERGEANT - Sergeant is the second NCO rank and is attained after a minimum of 1 month in grade as a Corporal, as well as receiving positive recommendation from a mentoring NCO to advance in grade as a sergeant. Sergeants lead a section of 8 men, or they may hold a support role, leading a section of personnel. A member of a support role may receive this rank by serving at least 2 months in their position and being recommended by the support SNCO.

SENIOR NON-COMMISSIONED OFFICERS
(OR-6) STAFF SERGEANT - Staff Sergeant is the first Senior NCO rank, and is held solely by Platoon Sergeants who can assist in commanding upwards of 30 personnel, serving as the advisor to a Platoon Commander on the matters of the platoon. Typically, in order to be a Staff Sergeant, a Sergeant must have a minimum of 2 months in grade as a Sergeant, and must pass a review board from the Company HQ against other Sergeants in the platoon.

(OR-7) SERGEANT FIRST CLASS - Sergeant First Class is a rank given to the Operations Chief at the company level, who serves as the senior advisor on training and operations to the Company Commander. To attain Sergeant First Class, a Staff Sergeant must have a minimum of 1 month in grade and be selected by the Company Commander to serve in the HQ. They must be instructor qualified.

(OR-8) TECHNICAL SERGEANT - Technical Sergeants serve a special role in the Corps. Technical Sergeants advise in operations to the and hold a full-time position in that role, serving as a staff advisor to a staff officer. In order to achieve Technical Sergeant, an NCO in a support role must display competency, serve for at least 3 months, and be appointed by the Minister of Defense. They will be forced to give up any infantry role they carry in order to focus their attention to their support section.

(OR-8) FIRST SERGEANT - First Sergeants are the second highest enlisted rank and are held solely by Company Sergeants, whose task is to advise the Company Commander in the well-being of enlisted personnel. First Sergeants typically assist in commanding up to 90 enlisted personnel and serve as the most senior enlisted advisor on all matters concerning the Company. In order to attain First Sergeant, a Staff Sergeant or Sergeant First Class must have 3 months in grade, and must pass a review board held by the Commandant competing against other SNCOs.

(OR-9) CHIEF TECHNICAL SERGEANT - Chief Technical Sergeants serve as the most senior operations advisor in their specialized section in the RAMC HQ. In order to become a Chief Technical Sergeant, a Technical Sergeant must have 3 months in grade, and be appointed by the Minister of Defense.

(OR-9) SERGEANT MAJOR - Sergeant Majors are the second-highest Senior Advisor role, serving as the advisor to Battalion and Squadron HQ on the well-being of enlisted operations. Sergeant Majors must have 3 months in grade as a First Sergeant to be promoted to Sergeant Major, and must be selected by the Commandant of the Marine Corps.

(OR-9) SERGEANT MAJOR OF THE CORPS - Sergeant Major is the highest-ranking enlisted rank in the Corps and is currently only held by the Senior Enlisted Advisor of the Corps. The SEAC is responsible for advising the Commandant in matters concerning enlisted personnel within the Corps and maintain enlisted well-being. Any Senior NCO can become the SEAC after serving at least 4 months as an SNCO, and must be selected by the Commandant and Minister of Defense, after which they will receive a vote from the enlisted body of the Corps to approve them. They will require a Senate Nomination after voted in.

WARRANT OFFICERS
(W-1) FLIGHT OFFICER - The flight officer rank is the lowest WO rank within the Corps and is given to flight cadets after graduating from Flight School. This rank signifies an amateur pilot who is not serving any position of leadership. After two months in grade as a Flight Officer, the squadron commander must choose to remove the pilot from the force or promote them to Lieutenant. Flight Officers are mentored by a more senior pilot until they may recieve promotion.

(W-1) WARRANT OFFICER 1 - Warrant Officer 1 is the first of the Warrant Officer ranks, given to entry-level Warrant Officers, as a transitional rank. serving specialized positions like Instructors, Recruiters, and service on vessels and in weapon companies/platoons. In order to become a Warrant Officer, an individual must be recommended by their staff officer after 3 months as a NCO in a support role, and be selected by the Minister of Defense.

(W-2) CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 2 - CWO2 is the first Chief Warrant Officer rank, given to specialized support roles. Commonly found in the RAMC HQ, serving specialized positions like Instructors, Recruiters, and service on vessels and in weapon companies/platoons. In order to become a Chief Warrant Officer, an individual must be approved by their staff officer after two weeks in service.

(W-3) CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 3 - CWO3 is the third Chief Warrant Officer rank, given to specialized support roles. Commonly found in the RAMC HQ, serving specialized positions like Instructors, Recruiters, and service on vessels and in weapon companies/platoons. In order to become a CWO3, an individual must have served at least 2 months as a CWO2 and be reselected by the Minister of Defense.

(W-4) CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 4 - CWO4 is the fourth Chief Warrant Officer rank, given to specialized support roles. Commonly found in the RAMC HQ, serving specialized positions like Instructors, Recruiters, and service on vessels and in weapon companies/platoons. In order to become a CWO3, an individual must have served at least 2 months as a CWO3 and be reselected by the Minister of Defense.

(W-5) CHIEF WARRANT OFFICER 5 - CWO5 is the fifth Chief Warrant Officer rank, given to specialized support roles. Commonly found in the RAMC HQ, serving specialized positions like Instructors, Recruiters, and service on vessels and in weapon companies/platoons. In order to become a CWO5, an individual must have served at least 2 months as a CWO4 and be reselected by the Minister of Defense.

COMPANY GRADE OFFICERS
(OF-1) LIEUTENANT - Lieutenant is the first officer rank within the Corps and is typically held by Platoon Commanders, Pilots, or Deck Officers on vessels. Lieutenants are typically responsible for upwards of 30 men. In order to become an Infantry Lieutenant, any NCO who seems to have leadership ability may receive a recommendation for Officer Academy by their Commanding Officer if there is an availability. If they pass Officer Academy, they will be integrated into their platoon by their Platoon Sergeant. Pilots may attain Lieutenant after 2 months in grade.

(OF-2) - SENIOR LIEUTENANT - Senior Lieutenant is the second officer rank within the Corps and is typically held by Company XOs and Section Leaders in aviation. Lieutenants in the infantry can attain Senior Lieutenant after 2 months in grade, and passing review board run by the Commandant. Pilots may attain Senior Lieutenant after 2 months as a Lieutenant as well, and can hold the position of Section Commander, commanding 2-4 aircraft.

(OF-3) - CAPTAIN - Captain is the last of the Company-Grade Officers and is held by Company Commanders, and Squadron XOs. Captains will usually command upwards of 90 personnel directly. In the Infantry, if there is an opening for the Company CO, the Company XO will take over with no time in grade requirements, so long as the Commandant approves the rank change. Senior Lieutenant Pilots may attain Captain to be the XO of a Squadron, with 2 months in grade, and must compete against fellow Senior Lieutenants for the position in a Commandant Review Board.

FIELD GRADE OFFICERS
(OF-4) - MAJOR
Major is typically held by a Battalion XO in the Infantry or a Squadron CO. In order to attain Major, a Captain must have 3 months in grade and must pass a review board run by the Minister of Defense. They also must attend an Advanced Leadership School, which tests their knowledges of the fundamentals of higher-level leadership and teaches them the inner-workings of the Corps. Majors may also serve staff positions in the Marine Corps HQ.

(OF-5) - LIEUTENANT COLONEL -
Lieutenant Colonels are the second field-grade rank and are typically in command of up to 300 personnel, serving as Battalion COs. As a pilot, they may serve to command several Squadrons as a Wing CO. In order to attain Lieutenant Colonel, there must be an availability of position, and the officer must be approved by the Minister of Defense. Lieutenant Colonels may also serve staff positions in the Marine Corps HQ.

(OF-6) - COLONEL
Colonel is currently only held by the Assistant Commandant of the Marine Corps assisting the Commandant in executing his dutiees, however they can also serve as brigade or fleet commanders, commanding upwards of 3,000 soldiers. Any officer at or above the rank of OF-3 may apply to become the ACMC, however must have 3 months in service at their grade and must be elected by their fellow officers. Additionally, this position requires a Senate Approval.

(OF-7) - SENIOR COLONEL
Senior Colonel is a rank held solely by the Commandant of the Marine Corps, who serves as the higest ranking officer in the force. They are in charge of the direction and execution of the Corps' tasks. Senior Colonels are usually appointed via the ACMC, who will take the position of the Commandant. An additional Senate Approval is required for individuals taking the position of Commandant.
