RamadanTracker26 is designed with privacy in mind. We do not collect, store, or transmit any personal information. Specifically:
- We do not require user registration or account creation
- We do not collect names, email addresses, or phone numbers
- We do not track your location or store location data
- We do not use analytics or tracking tools
- We do not use advertising SDKs or show ads
- We do not share any data with third parties
2. Data Stored Locally on Your Device
All your app data — including fasting records, prayer logs, Quran reading progress, Dhikr counts, Zakah calculations, and user profiles — is stored locally on your device only using local storage (Hive and SharedPreferences).
This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to any server. If you uninstall the app, all locally stored data will be permanently deleted.
3. Internet Permission
The App uses internet access solely for the following purposes:
- Prayer Times API — To fetch accurate daily prayer times based on your selected city/location. The city name is sent to the Aladhan API (aladhan.com) to retrieve prayer schedules. No personal data is included in these requests.
- Live Streams — To load embedded YouTube live streams from Makkah, Madinah, and Al-Aqsa within the app. These streams are served by YouTube and are subject to YouTube's own privacy policy.
4. Permissions Used
- INTERNET — For fetching prayer times and loading live streams
- RECEIVE_BOOT_COMPLETED — To reschedule prayer notifications after device restart
- VIBRATE — For notification vibration alerts
- POST_NOTIFICATIONS — To send prayer time reminder notifications
- SCHEDULE_EXACT_ALARM / USE_EXACT_ALARM — To schedule prayer notifications at precise times
5. Third-Party Services
The App uses the following third-party services:
- Aladhan Prayer Times API (aladhan.com) — For prayer time calculations. Only the city name is sent; no personal data is shared.
- YouTube (youtube.com) — For embedded live streams. YouTube's privacy policy applies when viewing streams.
6. Children's Privacy
The App does not collect any personal information from anyone, including children under 13. The App is safe for use by all age groups.
7. Data Security
Since all data is stored locally on your device and no personal information is collected or transmitted, the security of your data depends on your device's own security measures (screen lock, encryption, etc.).
8. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this privacy policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date. We encourage you to review this page periodically.
