Ayodhya Ram Mandir!

Ayodhya Ram Mandir is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Vishnu, in Ayodhya, Uttar Pradesh, India. It is believed to be built on the site of Ram Janmabhoomi, the mythical birthplace of Rama, where a mosque called Babri Masjid once stood. The mosque was demolished by Hindu activists in 1992, sparking communal riots and legal disputes. In 2019, the Supreme Court of India ruled in favor of the Hindus and allowed the construction of the temple, while granting a separate land for the Muslims to build a mosque. The temple is being built by the Shri Ram Janmabhoomi Teerth Kshetra Trust, with the support of the Indian government and various Hindu organizations. The temple follows the Nagara style of architecture, with three spires, five halls, and a 21-foot-high plinth. The temple is made of pink sandstone, white marble, and teakwood, and uses a lock and key mechanism to interlock the stones without cement. The temple also incorporates principles of Vastu Shastra and Shilpa Shastra, the ancient sciences of architecture and art. The temple was consecrated and inaugurated by Prime Minister Narendra Modi on 22 January 2024, after a grand ceremony that was attended by millions of devotees. The temple is expected to attract more tourists, pilgrims, and devotees to Ayodhya, and to boost the economy and infrastructure of the region.
