Tom Cascarano

USPTA Elite Professional, is the Director of Tennis: Greensboro Country Club since 1991 to present 2020. Former positions include Director of Tennis at the Mountain Brook Swim & Tennis Club AL.. Tom was responsible for developing USTA Junior Team Tennis in Greensboro, serving as the League Coordinator and President of the Greensboro Tennis Professional’s Association.

Tom has been very involved in USPTA over the years, serving many years as the Chairman of the Nominating Committee for the Southern USPTA Board, a Southern Board Member, a judge for the national USPTA seminar contest, speaker and contributor for many conferences, and a constant attendee at conventions and World Conferences.​

Tom has volunteered for many positions. He was a Director and National Head Coach – The first of 26 Area National Junior Training USTA sites. He directed and presented “Tennis Tips” on Birmingham’s Local Television Station, Tournament Director at the Boys 16’s and 18’s Southern Open National Tournaments 1983-1991, Certified Alabama State Umpire – Umpired the Birmingham International Tennis Tournament, District Umpire and Umpire Chairman – State of Alabama. Tom has coached players – National Juniors with rankings as high as top 5 in the Country. and players on the ATP Professional Tour.

Awards include the USTA North Carolina Tennis Professional of the Year in 2004. He is a two time award winner of the Alabama Pro of the Year
