A USPTA Master Professional, currently living in Macon, GA. He is a past president of USPTA Southern and USTA Southern, having served on numerous committees in both associations. Randy has been inducted into the Southern Tennis Hall of Fame, the Georgia Tennis Professionals Hall of Fame, the USPTA Southern Tennis Hall of Fame and the Georgia Tennis Hall of Fame. He served as a USTA Southern Delegate and a member of the USTA Executive Committee, chaired the USTA Tennis Innovation and Wheelchair Committees and served on numerous other national committees as well as the ITF Wheelchair Committee.
In his playing career, Randy played at Georgia State University. He has been ranked No. 1 in Georgia and in USTA Southern Men’s 35s, 45s and 55s Doubles and 35s Mixed Doubles. He has a long time doubles partnership with USTA Southern Executive Director John Callen.
In 2020, in a declaration signed by county Commissioner Mallory Jones and Macon, GA, Mayor Robert Reichert, the South Bibb 23-court facility at Houston and Sardis Church roads will be renamed the Randy Stephens Tennis Center
