USPTA Master Professional, is the Director of Tennis at New Orleans Country Club in New Orleans, LA. in 2020. A native of Geneva, OH, Jeff was a state qualifier on his top-ranked high school tennis team. He went on to play collegiately at Methodist University in Fayetteville, NC where he twice received All-Conference honors. After his playing career, Jeff spent two years as assistant coach at Tennessee Technological University in Cookeville, TN.
Jeff received his undergraduate degree in Business Administration with a Concentration in Professional Tennis Management from Methodist University in 1992 and his Masters in Health and Physical Education from Tennessee Technological University in 1995. He became certified with the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA) in 1995 and was conferred the title of Master Professional with the organization in 2005. Jeff has served as President of the USPTA Missouri Valley Division (2000-2002) and the USPTA Southern Division (2007-2008). Jeff also served as Vice President of the USPTA National Board (2011-2013). In the USTA, he served on the Southern Section’s Tennis Professional Relations Committee (2007-2011).
Among Jeff’s accomplishments are USPTA Professional of the Year in both the Missouri Valley (2000) and Southern (2004) Divisions, Community Service Award (2002 – Missouri Valley) and Pride of the South Award (2011 - Southern). Most recently, Jeff was inducted into the USPTA Southern Division’s Hall of Fame (2018). Jeff is a member of the Advisory Team for the University of Florida’s Masters Program for Professional Tennis Management. He also represents Head Penn on their Pro Team Staff. He and his wife Mary have one daughter, Enna.
