Lab Research Interest

Our Lab works in the broad domains of Tissue Engineering, controlled Tissue Drug Delivery systems, biomaterials and Nanobiotechnology. We aim to explore the fundamentals of tissue engineering by using IFP MSC's for bone regeneration using scaffolds. We also strive to understand the various nanoparticles based drug delivery system in context of various diseases mainly osteoarthritis, diabetic retinopathy, shigellosis and various cancers.

My research project will be screening of potential drug entities for Osteoarthritis, that will help attenuate the progression of disease by interferring with the function of molecular players in the disease. I also aim to deliver these using smart nanodelivery systems for a site specific, enhaced bioavailablity of these drugs. Hence proposing potential new treatment strategies for Osteoarthritis.
