Task Force Rakkasans was founded in February 2023 as an offshoot of an established Arma 3 MilSim community, originally operating under the name 187th Iron Rakkasans. Formed by Lowson, Burns, Larsen, and Hill, the unit built its early reputation on disciplined, realism-focused operations and a strong commitment to MilSim fundamentals. As the Arma ecosystem evolved, the unit demonstrated its adaptability. In June 2025, the community transitioned from Arma 3 to Arma Reforger, rebranding as Task Force Rakkasans to reflect a broader, more flexible operational identity suited to the new platform. In October 2025, in an effort to expand recruitment and visibility, the unit temporarily restructured under the designation Kenshi Company, 1st Battalion, 75th Ranger Regiment. This phase lasted until January 2026, when the unit formally returned to its established name, Task Force Rakkasans, carrying forward the lessons learned during its reorganization. Throughout its history, the unit experienced the natural cycles of growth and contraction common to long-running Arma communities. However, the most defining period in the unit’s history began with the transition of leadership to CMD Inca.
Under CMD Inca’s command, Task Force Rakkasans entered a period of consolidation, professionalization, and renewed momentum. Organizational structure was strengthened, discipline and standards were clarified, and long-standing cultural issues were addressed directly. This period saw the departure of disruptive elements and the establishment of a healthier, more cohesive community. Equally significant was the unit’s strategic shift in philosophy. While maintaining tactical coordination and organized operations, the unit moved away from rigid, restrictive MilSim practices and embraced a model centered on high-quality, cinematic, and engaging gameplay. The focus became clear: well-led operations, teamwork, and enjoyment without sacrificing competence. Under Inca’s leadership, the unit stabilized, rebuilt trust internally, and laid the foundation for long-term growth. What emerged was a community that balanced structure with accessibility, capable of serious operations when needed while remaining grounded in the belief that Arma is best enjoyed as a shared experience. Today, Task Force Rakkasans stands as a revitalized and forward-looking unit, shaped by its history and defined by its current leadership. With a clear vision, refined identity, and a growing player base, the unit continues to evolve, positioned not just to endure, but to expand.
Meet your CIC
Ello ello. Name's Inca. I'm the lad that's in charge of our merry bunch of bandits at TFR. I will gladly call you a cunt, and happily not mean it in a bad way. I'm just foreign. Although I didn't make this unit from the ground up, I promise to elevate it to the skies (or something corny like that). Anyways, g'day.

Hi! I’m Pumpkin Spice, and 3 things to know about me are that I talk a lot, I’ve always got a project I’m working on, and I love coffee. While I might be busy, I’ll always have time for a chat, so don’t be shy if you have any questions or just want to say ‘hi’!
