I am currently an assistant professor of operations management at the Geis College of Business, University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. My research focuses on platforms and public sector operations. I use machine learning and econometric methods to explore how to integrate and manage emerging technologies within these contexts. Examples include introducing personalized recommendation systems on online B2B platforms, digitalization of small- and medium-sized enterprises, user choice enabled by biometric authentication, and digital payment systems.
Before academia, I worked as a data scientist at Deloitte's Strategy and Operations group and, HSBC's Network and Channel Analytics group. I recieved my Ph.D. in Operations, Technology & Information Management at the Cornell SC Johnson College of Business, Cornell University where I was advised by Vishal Gaur (chair) and Li Chen. I completed my post-graduation in management at the Indian School of Business, and my undergraduate studies at the Indian Institute of Technology, BHU.
