Design of a data acquisition system, LASER locking system and vibration isolation system

Designed a portable data acquisition system using RedPitaya to control the LASER.

Designed a LASER Locking box for locking LASER at constant wavelength using RedPitaya and discrete electronic components.

Designed a system for active vibration isolation using accelerometers and voice coil actuators.

Designing MEMS Gyroscope and MEMS Accelerometer 

Studied the available MEMS Gyroscope designs and evaluated the modes. Handover multiple possible gyroscope layout designs.

INTEGRATED CIRCUIT DESIGN FOR CAPACITIVE SENSOR INTERFACING 

Proposed five novel interfacing architectures using Switched-Capacitor technique and an auto calibration logic designed to cancel the differential capacitive sensor mismatch error. In this work integrated circuit is designed using UMC, SCL  180nm CMOS Process technologies. The fabricated ASIC is characterized with the help of custom made test setup.

DESIGN OF AN EMBEDDED SYSTEM FOR EARLY DETECTION OF EARTHQUAKE

An efficient design of digital decimation filter and implementation of microcontroller interface in the earthquake early detection system. In this design an alarm mechanism is incorporated which initiates automatic response systems to reduce the chance of life injury and property damage during earthquake. In this project, the embedded system is implemented using ALTERA cyclone II EP2C20F484C7 device. The design is tested on an ALTERA DE1 FPGA Board.

EDGE DETECTION TECHNIQUES FOR A DIGITAL IMAGE CORRUPTED WITH   NOISE 

 Masking an image with Robert’s cross operator, Prewitt’s operator, Sobel’s operator, Canny’s operator, Zero crossing operator to find the edge of an image. Adding Gaussian, Poisson, Speckle Noise’s to the image and performing masking on the image to find the edge of the corrupted image.
