Privacy Policy

Rakamakafon is a variable-speed camera recording app. This Privacy Policy explains how information is handled when you use Rakamakafon on iPhone and Apple Watch. Rakamakafon does not require an account and does not send your recordings, audio, photos, motion data, or app activity to servers operated by us. The app does not contain third-party advertising, analytics, tracking, or crash-reporting services. Video and audio processing is performed on your device.
Information Processed on Your Device
Rakamakafon processes the following information locally to provide its features:
Camera video used to preview and create recordings.
Microphone audio included in recordings and used for live headphone monitoring.
Device-motion information used to determine recording and interface orientation.
Recorded videos, generated thumbnails, and recording dates.
App settings and preferences, including recording format, selected lens, audio-device preferences, and accessory-control settings.
Recording status and control commands exchanged between iPhone and the companion Apple Watch app.
Technical recording logs, if local diagnostic logging is enabled.
This information is stored or processed within the app, on your devices, and is not transmitted to us.
Permissions
Rakamakafon may request the following system permissions:
Camera
Camera access is required to display the camera preview and record variable-speed videos.
Microphone
Microphone access is used to record sound with videos and provide live audio monitoring when that feature is enabled.
Motion
Device-motion information is used to determine the physical orientation of your iPhone so that controls and recordings can be oriented correctly. Raw motion information is not retained or shared.
Photos
If you enable automatic saving to Photos or choose to save a recording, Rakamakafon requests add-only access to your photo library. This allows the app to add completed videos without reading or browsing your existing photos and videos. You can revoke these permissions at any time in the iOS Settings app. Revoking a permission may prevent the related feature from working. Rakamakafon does not request access to your location, contacts, calendars, health information, fitness information, or advertising identifier.
Recordings and Local Storage
Completed recordings and their thumbnails are stored in Rakamakafon’s private app storage. They remain there until you delete them, reset the app, or uninstall the app. You may choose to:
Save recordings to the Photos app.
Share recordings using the iOS share sheet.
Display the live camera preview on a compatible external display or display glasses.
When you save or share a recording, that copy is handled by the service or destination you select. Copies saved to Photos, iCloud, another app, or another service are not controlled by Rakamakafon and are not removed when you delete the original recording from the app. Device and cloud backups may contain app data according to your operating-system and backup settings.
Apple Watch
The companion Apple Watch app exchanges control commands and recording status with Rakamakafon on your paired iPhone using Apple’s WatchConnectivity service. This may include recording state, selected lens, frame rate, playback speed, and control commands. Recorded video and microphone audio are not sent to Apple Watch.
Bluetooth Controllers, Headphones, and External Displays
Rakamakafon can respond to compatible Bluetooth media controls and can monitor recording audio through compatible headphones. The app may store the name and system identifier of a selected audio input locally so that it can remember your preference. This information is not transmitted to us. Live video shown on a connected external display is handled locally by your devices.
In-App Purchases
If you purchase the Full Version, the transaction is processed by Apple through the App Store and StoreKit. We do not receive or store your payment-card information. The app receives only the information necessary to determine whether the purchase has been completed and whether the Full Version should be available. Apple’s handling of purchase and account information is governed by Apple’s Privacy Policy. Apple may also independently process App Store usage, transaction, diagnostic, or analytics information according to your Apple Account and device settings. Rakamakafon does not embed its own analytics or tracking SDKs.
Sharing with Third Parties
We do not sell, rent, or share personal data with advertisers, data brokers, analytics companies, or other third parties. Information leaves the app only when:
You explicitly save a video to Photos.
You use the system share sheet to send a video or diagnostic log somewhere.
The app communicates with Apple services required for App Store purchases.
Control information is exchanged between your paired iPhone and Apple Watch.
Information handled by Apple or by a service you select is subject to that provider’s privacy policy.
Data Retention and Deletion
You can delete individual recordings from within Rakamakafon. The Reset option deletes videos stored by the app and restores app settings to their defaults. Locally stored diagnostic logs can be deleted separately where the logging feature is available. Uninstalling Rakamakafon removes its locally stored app data from the device. It does not remove:
Copies previously saved to Photos.
Copies shared with other apps or services.
Copies retained in device or cloud backups.
You can manage or delete those copies through the applicable app, service, or backup provider.
Because Rakamakafon does not maintain user accounts or upload your recordings to our servers, there is normally no remotely stored app data for us to retrieve or delete.
Support Communications
If you contact us for support, we receive your email address and any information you choose to provide, such as messages, screenshots, recordings, or diagnostic logs.
We use this information only to respond to your request, investigate the reported issue, protect the app, or comply with legal obligations. Support correspondence may be processed by our email provider and retained for as long as reasonably necessary to resolve the request.
You may request deletion of support correspondence by contacting us at the address below.
Children’s Privacy
Rakamakafon does not knowingly collect personal information from children through the app. If you believe that a child has provided personal information through a support communication, contact us so that we can review and delete it where appropriate.
Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy when Rakamakafon’s features, legal requirements, or privacy practices change. The updated policy will be published with a revised effective date.
