Hi, I'm Raj Kumar Maity. I obtained my PhD in the CICS department of University of Massachusetts, Amherst under the supervision of Professor Arya Mazumdar. I am interested in distributed optimization, machine learning, differential privacy , error correcting codes and theory problems in general. Prior to joining Umass Amherst, I completed Masters in Science from Indian Institute of Science (IISc) in System Science and Automation (SSA) department under the supervision of Professor Shalabh Bhatnagar and also spent a year as a Project assistant in Stochastic System Lab in CSA department in IISc. I spent four wonderful years in Jadavpur University as an undergraduate student in Electrical Engineering department.
