RESEARCH

My present research area focuses on:

  • Combined influences of macro-textures on implant surfaces and mechanotransduction on Bone Mesenchymal Stem Cells(BMSCs) towards the promotion of growth of various osteogenic cells/tissues at the bone-implant interface.

  • Comparative study of bone-growth through soft-computing and machine learning tools towards shape optimization of implant designs based on the clinically relevant osteogenic objective function.

  • Combined influences of texture density and normal micromotion in the biomechanical assessment of bone growth.

  • In silico assessment of bone growth at bone-implant interface of an implanted cementless hip stem post total hip arthroplasty (THA).

  • Biomechanical Evaluation and design of temporomandibular joint (TMJ) implant for ankylosis patients relevant to the Indian Population.
