Postdoctoral Research Associate
Hello!Â
I am Rajat Chakraborty, a Postdoctoral Research Associate in Nick Holonyak Micro and Nanotechnology Laboratory at University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign under the supervision of Prof. Jean-Pierre Leburton. I received my PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering from University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. I received both my M.Sc. and B.Sc. in Electrical and Electronic Engineering from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology.
My research is centered on modeling nanopore biosensors to explore the intricate interplay of nanofluidics phenomena for applications in nanoelectronics and biomolecule detection. With a combination of molecular dynamics, electronic modeling, machine learning, and advanced data analysis techniques, I have worked on multidisciplinary research dedicated to pushing the boundaries of the exciting field of nanopore sensors.
I am a recipient of the Gregory Stillman Semiconductor Research Award (2024-2025), Dissertation Completion Fellowship (2024-2025), Mavis Future Faculty Fellowship (2023-2024), and Promise of Excellence Fellowship (2021) from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Feel free to explore my page to learn more about my projects, publications, and the fascinating world of nanopore sensors and devices. Thank you for visiting!
