Iodine deficiency disorders (IDD) is a public health problem in India. A ban on the sale of uniodised salt for household consumption has been introduced in Rajasthan State since 1992. The present study was conducted in the district of Bharatpur, Rajasthan with the objective to assess the prevalence of iodine disorders in school children as no data is available on this aspect. A total of 3072 children in the age group of 6-12 years were included in the study and were clinically examined. On the spot urine samples were collected randomly from 450 children. A total of 1064 salt samples were collected randomly from the families of the children. The total goiter prevalence was found to be 7.2% in the subjects studied. It was found that the percentage of children with urinary iodine excretion

PTC News Desk: The "timing, objective and intent" of the raids conducted by central government agencies in Rajasthan, according to Congress leader Sachin Pilot, are "suspicious," indicating that the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is weak ahead of the Rajasthan assembly elections.

"We have elections in a few days in Rajasthan. The Model Code of Conduct has been implemented...The timing, objective, and intent of the central government agencies' raids in Jaipur and other cities today are questionable and suspicious," Pilot said at a press conference on Thursday.

Abstract: To compete in this globalised market, enterprises should focus on optimising and integrating production and distribution functions simultaneously. This study deals with the problem of integrated production and distribution planning in multi-site manufacturing environment. A multi-objective mixed integer programming model is formulated considering three important aspects of production and distribution planning; capacity of heterogeneous transportation, setup and backordering. Three conflicting objectives that need to be minimised are total cost, delivery time and backorder level. To solve the proposed multi-objective mathematical model, preemptive goal programming approach is implemented. A real world case example of an automobile industry is considered to demonstrate analytical results of the proposed approach. Further analysis is conducted to visualise effect of changing priority level on objective functions and deviation variables. The results demonstrate flexibility of decision maker by adjusting priorities of objective functions according to importance and aspiration level with respect to desired target values.

Recent literature suggests that monitoring of neuromuscular transmission is now the gold standard for monitoring and patients can be safely extubated once the TOF ratio >0.9.[3] According to the eminent reader our study seems to be a daring discourse as the benefits of using neostigmine to reverse a neuromuscular blockade (NMB) far outweighs its potential risks which have not been yet observed. We believe that this statement itself supports our hypothesis that objective neuromuscular monitoring (NMM) can help us in avoiding the use of anticholinesterases for reversal. Studies have shown that even after using neostigmine patients should not be extubated till the TOF ratio of 0.9 is achieved.[4] This concept is the point of research; when we have to wait for extubation till the TOF ratio >0.9 is achieved, then why should neostigmine be used for reversal of neuromuscular blockade when it causes an acetylcholine surge but does not ensure complete reversal? Moreover, we also recommend large scale randomised trials to study the risks of using neostigmine in humans and establishing NMM as a standard tool for safe reversal of patients without using neostigmine. Further, if the objective criteria were to be used instead of subjective criteria in nonexposed group as well, it would altogether be a different kind of study.

Regarding doses and frequency rocuronium, standard doses were used and repeated as per the duration of surgery and appearance of second count of TOF, so it has no effect on whether to use reversal agents or not. As suggested, there is evidence for the significant presence of residual neuromuscular weakness in the postoperative period even with the use of reversal agent; this itself justifies our conclusion that objective NMM should be a mandatory tool to avoid residual NMB effects or shortcomings of neostigmine.

In addition to the scholarship, the Deakin University Women in Sports and Exercise (WISE) hub will host a joint conference with Rajasthan Royals in India. The key objective of this conference will be to enhance the participation of women in sports by challenging, changing, and advancing the sports industry by equipping the participants with skills to help women be job ready across sports and sport-related roles.

Case of Residential Water in Rajasthan V Ratna Reddy M S Rathore Though drinking water has always been at the top of the priority list of social consumption items, the objective of providing safe drinking water to all sections of the people remains a distant goal The rural- urban disparities in access to drinking water persist and in the urban areas, in the absence of progressive pricing, a very large proportion of subsidised water is used by the higher income groups. A study of the accessibility and distributional aspects of residential water supply in Rajasthan.

CEE was invited for sharing its experience of whole school approach and Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) education programmes in a state level workshop at Jaipur, organised by UNICEF and Education department, Govt. of Rajasthan. The objective of the workshop was to orient participants about WASH in school (WinS) programmes in other states of India and to draw key recommendations for strengthening WASH initiatives in model schools of Rajasthan. Govt. of Rajasthan has initiated 'Adarsh and Utkrist School' scheme for enhancing quality of education in elementary and secondary education respectively. Mr. Simanta Kalita, Programme Coordinator, CEE North East shared his experience of Daily Handwashing for an Ailment-free Life (DHaAL) project as a model for saturation and scale- up of group handwashing practices in school. Mr. Parthesh Pandya, Programme Coordinator, CEE West shared his learnings of child and community participation of Anandshala model. CEE's efforts in Swatch Shale project of Karnataka was also highlighted in the presentation by Mr. Salathiel Nalli, WASH Specialist, UNICEF, Hyderabad. CEE West also supported an activity to identify gaps and possible solution for strengthening WASH in schools across the state. The workshop was attended by around 200 state and district level officers of Education department of Rajasthan.

ITC Limited responded to these challenges by launching a unique multi-stakeholder partnership in 2007. It brought together the Government of Rajasthan, ITC Limited, and the Foundation for Ecological Security (FES - an NGO) with the objective of restoring the common pastures in order to increase availability of and access to natural resources, especially for the poor. This initiative gave special focus to strengthen village community based governance of commons through rules, regulation and systems evolved by grassroots institutions. In the project period, 1.55 lakh CMT of in-situ soil moisture conservation work was undertaken, 77 water harvesting structures were constructed, and 1.85 lakh saplings were planted on 1,141 ha in 17 pastures, in addition to the formation of pasture protection committees.

It was pointed out that the current discontent within consumers regarding service quality and poor financial health of DISCOMs boils down to issues with overall governance of the sector. There is a need to undertake political economy analysis of the sector to find ways to alter the existing equilibrium. It has to be a long term concerted approach and use of media, both traditional and social, could be an important instrument in achieving the overall objectives of the CBEC project.

Cross-sectional study with adolescents aged 10-17 years old in Sri Ganganagar city, Rajasthan, India. The objective index of orthodontic treatment need (IOTN) dental health component (DHC) and the subjective aesthetic component (AC) were used to determine the normative and the self-perception need for orthodontic treatment, respectively. The selected students were further examined for dental trauma, tooth loss, and dental caries. Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale was applied for self-esteem level determination. Linear regression analysis was executed to test the individual association of different independent clinical variables with self-esteem scores.

Thus, the purpose of this study was to assess the objective and the subjective orthodontic treatment needs of adolescents and their impact on their self-esteem in Sri Ganganagar city, Rajasthan, India.

Adolescence is a stage of life that offers the potential to prevent from both current impairment and future illness and promoting successful development into productive adulthood. Thus, the purpose of this study was to assess objective and subjective orthodontic treatment needs of adolescents and other dental disorders on the self-esteem of adolescents using RSES. That scale is widely used the self-reported instrument for evaluating individual self-esteem. 2351a5e196
