Mission and Vision Statements

Vision: To be an ardent and respected researcher in the privacy domain and to be an influential facilitator inspiring the learners to be more than what they believed to be. To live a balanced life and to make a significant difference by applying ethical principles.

Mission: To work in universities where both research and teaching are an indispensable part of higher education. To create and disseminate knowledge to the learners through persistent research related to my domain. To develop effective pedagogical techniques that make the learners feel more contented while learning a subject, and imagine beyond their limits. To interact with learned professors, elders, peers and newbies and to follow ethics that shall help me nurture my spiritual, physical and academic aspects of life so that I lead a balanced and self-esteemed life.

Bio Sketch

Dr. Manjula R received her doctoral degree in July 2018 from the department of Electronics and Electrical Communication Engineering, IIT Kharagpur. Currently, she is serving as Asst. Professor in the department of Computer Science and Engineering, SRM University Amaravathi, AP. Her research interests include security, privacy and data aggregation in Wireless Sensor Networks.

Manjula R received her Bachelor's degree (B.E) in Electronics and Communications Engineering, and Master's degree (M.Tech) in Computer Network Engineering from Visveswaraya Technological University, Belgavi, Karnataka, India, in the year 2002 and 2006 respectively. Earlier she was associated with Ballari Institute of Technology and Management (BITM), Ballari from 2002 to 2019.

She is the Senior Member of IEEE (S'12-M'17, SM-18) and in the past served as Vice-Chair for IEEE Women in Engineering Affinity Group at Kharagpur Section for the year 2014. She served as branch counselor, IEEE Student Branch and IEEE WIE Affinity Group, BITM, Ballari and as sub-committee member, IEEE WIE Affinity Group, Bengaluru Section, 2019.

Awards:

Received Best paper award during WITS’06 - State Level paper presentation contest, Bijapur, Karnataka, India
Bagged the best talk award in the WIE competition "Talk it up" - a three minute challenge" held during the international symposium - Techsym 2016, IIT Kharagpur, India.
Outstanding Large Chapter award presented to WiE Affinity Group, in recognition of the outstanding contribution to the IEEE Bangalore Section in the year 2019. Presented by IEEE Bangalored Section during AGM, 5th January 2020. (Group award).
Outstanding Medium Student Branch Counselor award for outstanding contribution to the IEEE Bangalore Section during 2019, presented by IEEE Bangalore Section, during AGM, 5th January 2020. Served as branch counselor for IEEE SB BITM.
Best Volunteer – GOLD award for outstanding contribution to IEEE Women in Engineering (WiE) Affinity Group, Bangalore Section during the year 2019, presented by IEEE WiE Affinity Group, Bangalore Section during AGM, 5th January 2020.
