Joel will talk about the RAiUK and the relevance of the dialogue across HCI/AI/Ethics

Stef will talk about the dialectic of “Responsible AI” as an emerging research and innovation theme  across cultures and contexts

Simi will talk about how the ethics and governance of AI are approached across disciplines, and ways in which the theme of “responsibility" is being adopted and developed. 

Neha will provide an overview of Human-Computer Interaction Across Borders (HCIxB) and the  ACM SIGCHI Across Borders Initiative (SABI), outlining their achievements as models of community building and dialogue

Shaimaa will talk about the AfriCHI and ArabHCI community as practical examples of long-standing efforts to build bridges across communities 

Makuochi will direct the discussion towards: 

• What are the common AI research and development themes that connect different contexts and cultures?

• For some, HCI and AI are “divided by a common focus”; how can we build lasting bridges when we’ve crossed borders? 

• What future do we envision from the relationship between HCI and AI, and how can we achieve it? 

Muhammad will open the discussion for questions and next steps
