Atualmente, sou professora adjunta C no Instituto de Física da Universidade Federal Fluminense (UFF), em Niterói, RJ. Meus principais interesses de pesquisa se inserem na área de Astrofísica Relativística. A pergunta que geralmente ronda minha mente é: "Como podemos utilizar observações atuais e futuras de objetos compactos (como estrelas de nêutrons e buracos negros) para uma melhor compreensão da natureza?". E eventualmente: "Como nutrir o interesse na área de relatividade nos futuros professores e no público em geral?". Aqui vocês encontrarão um pouco sobre minhas atividades de pesquisa e ensino.

I'm an assistant professor at the Federam Fluminense University (UFF), in Niteroi, Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, and a researcher in the field of Relativistic Astrophysics. I'm very often asking myself the question: How can current and future observations of neutron stars and black holes be used to improve our understanding of Nature? And sometimes: How can we nourish the interest in the field of relativity in future teachers and in the broader audience? Here you'll find a bit about my research and teaching activities.

Prêmio Carolina Nemes 2023 (Carolina Nemes Prize 2023)
Em 2023, fui contemplada com o prêmio Carolina Nemes da Sociedade Brasileira de Física, outorgado a mulheres físicas em início de carreira pela qualidade de seu trabalho de pesquisa.
In 2023, I was awarded the Carolina Nemes Prize of the Brazilian Physical Society, given to female physicists in the beginning of their careers.
