Raise The Arts works with Wells on Wheels to purchase waterwheels for women in rural India through community service arts projects
Women stacking multiple heavy pots filled with water on their heads is replaced with a mobile rolling waterwheel
Each waterwheel can hold up to 45 liters of water safely across tough terrain
Prevents back and neck pains along with other musculoskeletal disorders
In rural India, young girls starting at the age of 7 were burdened with the task of helping their mothers carry water, preventing them from receiving an education
We have raised a total of $7,871.28 enough to purchase 281 water wheels to support two small villages in India and helped 843 children, while impacting 1,406 lives.
