Food is a basic human right. As a result of the devastating pandemic occurring in our world, unemployment has peaked. For some, this means a lower income and a bigger strain on buying necessities, like food. 

The Challenge: Many Food Banks have witnessed a significant increase in the number of visiting families since the start of COVID-19. Despite their efforts to feed all the people in need, produce donations have been slim. Although more and more people are turning to food banks for help, many food banks are running out of resources to provide food for everyone.

How your donation will help: The struggle to find food will continue for many people throughout the pandemic. The Alameda County Community Food Bank is committed to creating a healthy, prosperous, and just community. They distribute millions of healthy meals every year and are on the forefront of new approaches to ending hunger and poverty. With your donation to Raise4Change, organizations like the Alameda County Community Food Bank will be able to provide food to more communities.

For the longest time in our history, minority races have suffered through different forms of oppression. Even today, the struggle for racial equality for African Americans is persistent. 

The Challenge: Our world has very recently witnessed numerous protests and uprisings in response to the unequal treatment of minority races. Instead of standing idly while race prejudice hurts our communities, we have to rise up to the cause and end race-based discrimination and ensure equal treatment and rights for people of every race.

How your donation will help: The National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP Empowerment Programs) is the largest and most pre-eminent civil rights organization in the United States. They strive to secure the political, educational, social, and economic equality of rights for everyone. With your donation to Raise4Change, organizations like the NAACP will further their mission to ensure equality of all persons and race.
