How to Reach

By Bus: SVNIT Surat is well-connected by bus services from various cities. From Ahmedabad, the approximate distance is 270 kilometers, and the journey takes around 4 to 5 hours. From Mumbai, it's approximately 290 kilometers with a travel time of 6 to 7 hours.

By Railway: Surat Railway Station is the nearest railway station to SVNIT. From Ahmedabad, the approximate distance is 260 kilometers, and the travel time by train is around 4 to 5 hours. From Mumbai, it is approximately 250 kilometers, and the journey takes about 4 to 5 hours by train.

By Airplane: The nearest airport to SVNIT Surat is Surat Airport (STV). From major cities like Mumbai, Delhi, and Bangalore, there are regular flights to Surat. The approximate flight time from Mumbai is around 1 hour, from Delhi is around 2 hours, and from Bangalore is around 2.5 hours. Upon arrival at Surat Airport, one can reach SVNIT via taxi or other local transportation options.

Kevadiya 


Situated in the district of Narmada in Gujarat, the town of Kevadiya has gained significant importance due to its vicinity to the “Statue of Unity”, the mighty statue of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel. Apart from the statue, the other main tourist attractions of Kevadiya are the Tent City, the Sardar Sarovar Dam, the Valley of Flowers, and the Shoolpaneshwar Wildlife Sanctuary. 

Saputara Hill Station

Saputara is a tourist destination situated in the Dang district of Gujarat. It offers a spectacular view of the Western Ghats residing amid the undulating mountains at a distance of 250 km from Mumbai, and 4 km from the Mumbai border. Being the only hill station in Gujarat, it is located at a height of 1,000 meters and attracts tourists, especially during the summers.

Somnath Temple

The Somnath Jyotirlinga Temple is the first of the twelve Jyotirlinga shrines of Lord Shiva. It is located on the western coast of Gujarat and is one of the oldest temples of the country. It has been mentioned in ancient texts like Shreemad Bhagavat Gita, Skandpuran, Shivpuran, and Rig-Veda which signifies the importance of this temple as one of the most celebrated pilgrimage sites. The temple is located on the ancient Triveni Sangam or the confluence of three rivers - Kapila, Hiran, and Saraswati.
