Minecraft Building has been an essential part of Minecraft since its release. As a sandbox game, Minecraft has always prioritised the player's experience on the game and enhancing the creativity of their community. Minecraft allows the players almost complete freedom when playing the game while offering achievements to help lead players in a certain direction of progression, however once going through those achievements, the game never has an end. It allows the player to play and grow their world as much they want. 

Developers at MOJANG have always supported this and the creativity of the Minecraft players, this is evident in many of the updates that have been released since 2011 when Minecraft was first established.
Since 2011 there has been numerous updates bringing different items and blocks into the game to allow their players to have a wide range of choice to be able to build whatever they please.
