The History of Rainbow Adventures

How did it all start?

It all started when MLP:FiM was in its prime. Somewhere between season 2-3. We were a team put together by Hasbro to make this game a reality. This game was initially planned to just be accessible to Windows, but they were also considering bringing it to the official website and maybe even consoles for some reason. It would've been the first console game for the generation, but unfortunately that never came to be. The head of the project was one of our friends, Skye Fletcher. She pitched the idea of theming the game based on Rainbow Dash. She mainly pitched it because she was her favorite out of the Mane 6, but also because Rainbow Dash was a pretty popular character. We ended up naming the game after her and began work ASAP.

What was it like?

Developing the game was actually really fun. We all had our own games to develop to speed up development time. While I myself wish to remain anonymous, I will say as the person developing this site that Pinkie Pie's Cupcake Challenge was my favorite game. Pinkie Pie is my favorite out of the Mane 6 so getting to develop this game was an honor. What's even crazier about this project is we were experimenting with something we never thought we would with Flash. 3D. It wasn't like those prehistoric 3D maze games either, it was on a similar level of quality as DOOM was back then and today. Granted it was limited head turning, but it was really high quality. You got to explore Fluttershy's Cottage and Sweet Apple Acres like never before.

What went wrong?

While development was fun, it sadly didn't last. Because I went into work one day to find out that some of our coworkers were missing. More importantly, Skye, the head of development was missing as well. I went to look around for her when I discovered something dreadful. One of our coworkers, dead in a park. It wasn't just her either, it turns out that 5 other people had their lives taken. I had to warn Skye just in case if the killer is still around. After arriving at her house though... she wasn't just there... she was the killer...

I witnessed her killing her sixth victim and instantly got away to phone the police. It was an awful, awful sight. Thankfully, she was caught and sent to prison. It was a really rough couple of days for everyone in town. I wish to not speak of this any further. This is something I really don't want to think about too much.
